Iran animation ‘Alphabet’ wins award at Sayulita filmfest

Iranian short animation ‘Alphabet’ has won an award at the 5th edition of the Sayulita Film Festival in Mexico.

Directed by Kianoush Abedi, the animation recently received the best short film award at the Mexican event.

‘Alphabet’ is a 3D animation produced in late 2017. The 6-minute animated piece depicts a nation that has forgotten the alphabet of living. They cannot see, cannot hear, and cannot speak, but the words are waiting for them eagerly.

The Sayulita Film Festival is a 100% volunteer operated and a non-profit event with the goal of creating a new community center for film lovers.

The festival team, dedicated to highlighting the best to offer the world, held the 5th edition of the event from January 31 to February 4, 2018.
